VISION

The "DEEP JAN SEVA SAMITI" name itself is indicative of the values of the Samiti. The "Deep" that lights up many millions of homes in our country is our emblem. The idea of forming Deep Jan Seva Samiti was born in August 1989. The formal inception of the Samiti was on 14th November, 1989. This coincided with the birth centenary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Soon after inception, we started enrolling members and initiated programs to spread social awareness to fight the growing menace of communalism. At that time, communal forces were at their peak and Deep Jan Seva Samiti took these dark forces head on, with strong first steps towards creating awareness in the whole of our motherland.

The Samiti focused on the youth and is working to "catch 'em young" since the youth is the future of our motherland. We attracted them in large numbers, and organized Vocational and Educational Guidance programs which helped them make the right career choices, as well as motivated them in extracurricular activities to sharpen their talents.

Today the Samiti is proud to have a big team who are continuously spreading the message of friendship and fraternity, and thereby creating a harmonious environment.

In time, we have added more training modules which help in sharpening the skill-sets of the youth so that they can look forward to a better, and brighter future:

  • Corporate Social Responsibilities
  • Joint Effort
  • Reflection
  • Strengthening
  • Innovation

VALUES

Social and Family Values

A conventional arrangement of social gauges characterized by the family, and a past filled with traditions that give enthusiastic and physical reasons for raising a family. Our self esteem is generally fortified by our profound religious convictions and customs.

Time Spend With Family

Family bonding gives a chance to all individuals to meet up and share their thoughts, viewpoints and experiences. Today's busy lifestyle leaves little time for family. In most families, children are not even in regular touch with their grandparents. A regular family meeting is a chance to organize the things your family esteems and set up conventions. Add a family meeting to your schedule at least once in seven days to remember old memories and create new ones.

Traditional Values

The part that religion or the most profound sense of being plays in your family, how candidly accessible you are to others, your convictions about sharing obligations, regular interests shared by your life partner and family, shared exercises and pastimes, how family time is spent, choices made by family, basic convictions shared by you and your mate with respect to a deep sense of being and religion, how family customs are set up, etc.; are all great themes to examine at a family meeting.

Recreational Activities and Togetherness

The use of prepackaged games and riddles have declined lately, as just half the number of youngsters between the ages of 7 and 14 today play chess and carrom compared to the previous generation when they were growing up (24% versus 45%), and far more kids play digital games than spend time with their folks (73% versus 44%).

In any case, the diverse ways in which kids play today have not completely hosed their excitement. 66% of children say that they want to figure out how to play conventional recreations like chess, with the figure expanding to 71% among just youngsters.
