The Smart Shiksha project brings the technology-enabled digital classroom to students everywhere, including underprivileged students. In Smart Shiksha digital classrooms, student-learning and interactions with teachers and peers are fully supported through intelligent deployment of new age IT technologies and infrastructure.
The Smart Shiksha digital classrooms also employ many components of the flipped classroom, a learning model where students receive instruction online as
well, and apply their newly-acquired knowledge in the classroom with their teachers and peers.
The Smart Shiksha project stresses on Blended learning, which is a combination of face-to-face and online learning, employing a range of technologies including online learning platforms, systems and tools, social media, and more. Students work together, mentored by their teachers, to apply their new knowledge to real-life issues.
The database incorporates the entire learning toolkit, including diaries, meeting procedures, magazines, bulletins, and mixed media titles.
